Whether you’ve recently invested or want to invest in a new Walk-in Tub or Steam shower, or simply want to look for new ways to relax in your tub, there are plenty of ways that you can achieve this. Studies have shown that a relaxing bath can help reduce your stress, creating a spa-like experience. A warm, well-curated bath can help relax your senses and make you happier. 1) Use Essential Oils

Essential oils have a long history with healing. One survey found that one-third of Americans believe in the healing effects associated with essential oils and aromatherapy. Different essential oils target different ailments, and though there are limited studies that verify its ability to heal, many oils are rooted in a healing history, and some science confirms different treatment abilities.

For instance, lavender has been used since ancient times to treat ailments like depression, hair loss, toothaches, and insomnia. One study found that topically applying lavender could even help with menstrual cramps. Chamomile is known for its calming properties, rosemary helps reduce tension, tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory effects, and peppermint can reduce headaches and relieve muscle pain. There are many different essential oils to choose from, depending on what you need.

2) Incorporate Relaxing Music

Music can be a powerful modifier for a relaxing bath. Numerous studies have demonstrated how music affects the brain. Music can reduce stress and feelings of depression, and improve cognitive and motor skills. For a spa experience, calming music can create a peaceful, indulgent atmosphere. You can find plenty of “spa” playlists on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

3) Work on the Lighting

A key element of a relaxing bath is the ambiance, and lighting is a big part of ambiance. Candles are an excellent way to infuse ambiance and create a relaxing bathroom spa experience. If you don’t have essential oils, you can use scented candles instead. Gather a few, placing them in clusters around your space or on your shelves. Putting a few candles at the edge of the tub ensures they’re close enough to you to fully enjoy them. Additionally, be sure to dim your bathroom lights or turn them off altogether if you have enough candles to suffice.

4) Bring In Some Snacks

Why not take your relaxing bath to the next level? For drinks, bring in some champagne or tea. Both are fine depending on your mood. Some good bath snacks include strawberries, chocolates, olives, nuts, and other easy-to-eat items. You don’t want to eat anything heavy that would divert your blood flow to focus on digestion, and you also don’t want to eat anything that would be difficult to retrieve if it fell into the tub.

5) Accessorize

The last thing you want to do is accessorize your relaxing bath experience by bringing in items that make it more seamless. For example, you can get a floating tray for your snacks, or a bathtub tray that rests on the tub rim. This flat surface provides ample space for candles, a tablet, book or magazine, waterproof speaker, and other items you’d like to bring in. You can also opt for a face mask at the same time, which can make your bath even more relaxing. Adding epsom salt to your bath is another great way to boost your spa bath.

We hope these tips get you in the spirit of the spa experience and give you some ideas of how to create the best relaxing bath.
